From time to time, I just go through old pictures and cringe both at how far and little I've come. It's like looking at old yearbook photos. "Did I use to wear that? I can't believe I thought that was stylish at the time. Why didn't anyone tell me?"
This is one picture that struck me in particular. Drew it years ago. Not quite sure when. 2002, 2003, perhaps.
It tells me everything at a glance. It reminds me that I'm not ashamed of my sense of color and design. I can draw the kinds of clothes that I would never actually wear. That no one would actually wear, yet seem appealing at first glance.
Unfortunately, this also reminds me that my sense of form, space, volume and lighting could always, always always use work. At the time I drew it, it was all about the pretty clothes. I'm still just as shallow today. But I like to think I try to rise above that now and then, if only for the change in pace.
Who am I kidding? I'm all about the cheesecake!

Wow! I love the colours! And I love her outfit as well! Very cool.

98% of Deviants don't know the difference between "your" and "you're." If you're one of the 2% that wants to punch 'em, put this in your sig. (Egyébként magyar vagyok. )
hm. I would say that the elf in the picture would wear this outfit XD! But yeah I know what you mean. I look at old artwork and it's like "oh.... god."
I don't know how I would offer advice on this one if you even wanted it. I always have a problem critiquing the art of artists who are way way more ubar than me.
1. They're better than me. Obviously they know more about what they're doing than I do.
2. I don't want them to be insulted when someone who is teh sux at drawing critiques them.
