My tribute to the world's most beautiful woman, Lynda Carter. Got a shitload of drawings I want to finish, but shut myself in working on this instead. Friday night, start working on this, look up, sunrise saturday morning, look up, wow, sunset. Oh, sunrise again. Forget to eat? *sniff* Need shower. Who needs food? Finish showering, resume painting. Sunday, repeat the process. Finished dawn this morning. When you're that myopically obsessed with drawing teh pretty eagle boobs, you don't notice that maybe ONE EYE is really wonky (part of Carter's incredible beauty was her incredibly symmetrical face, imo), the tiara's crooked, one hand is waay bigger than the other, and I'd completely redo one of her arms if I wasn't afraid of ruining it. BUT PRETTY EAGLE, so who the eff cares? Actually, now that I look at it, the eagle isn't symmetrical, either. *sigh* Didn't come even close to doing Lynda Carter justice, but it's the thought that counts, right? Note: I beefed up the arms a little. But yes, Lynda's waist really is that tiny- nor corset required. I suppose by today's comic book standards, her build would be considered frail. She was a dancer before snagging the role, so she has a ballerina's body- so there ya go. |

Those things you pointed out aside, I think you have captured her likeness very well.
I like it at full view, but I do think the smaller thumbnail provides a bigger visual punch for whatever reason.
Wonderful tribute!

"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorius triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
The eyes, I'll concede are a little off, but over look able. The over all likeness is actually very well done, I took one look and new it was Lynda Carter, you did a good job.
ANd yes, the eagle does indeed rock the socks.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
And the eagle is awesome

wow thats something.......
She's a good actress, she can do great roles, she's admitted herself that she doesn't put her full effort into comic roles. No more I say!!

When we come to the edge of the light we know, and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown, of this we can be sure ... either God will provide something solid to stand on or ..... we will be taught to fly.
